Pedestrian struck by vehicle

A woman was transported to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking her dog in Olalla on Monday.

After the woman was struck head-on while on Main Street around 6:45 p.m., RCMP said the suspect vehicle accelerated away and proceeded southbound on Highway 3A towards the Keremeos area.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle associated to this offence. The vehicle is described as a white mid-90s Ford Explorer with possible front-end damage. Anyone noticing a vehicle matching the description is asked to report the licence plate number to the Keremeos RCMP detachment at 250-499-5511.
