A convicted drug trafficker was caught with the tools of her trade outside the Penticton courthouse.
A 42-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday for possession of drugs in front of the courthouse where she was making a court appearance with her young offender son.
“She was found to be in possession of approximately an ounce of crystal methamphetamine, an ounce of cocaine and smaller amounts of ecstasy and hash plus approximately $10,000 cash,” said Cpl. Brad Myhre with the Penticton RCMP Drug Task Force.
The woman has five prior convictions for drug trafficking offences and was on parole for drug trafficking until about a month ago. Following this latest arrest she will face four new drug charges including possession of both methamphetamine and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. She was held in custody for court on Wednesday.
