Through a grant from the Union of B.C. Municipalities, the Penticton Recreation Department is compiling and producing a directory of low-cost recreational opportunities in the community.
“The directory will be a compilation of fitness and leisure activities that are available to residents of Penticton at either no cost or low cost and will also provide a list of subsidy programs,” said project co-ordinator Michou Szabo.
In her initial research, Szabo is finding that Penticton has many no-cost or low-cost activities that support individuals and families in being able to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
If your organization or club has information that could be included in this directory, you are asked to get in touch with Szabo before Nov. 20 by email at michouszabo@shaw.ca or by calling 250-809-7488.
The directory will be distributed throughout the community in mid-December.
