Ken Paton was re-elected president of the Penticton Historic Automobile Society at its recent annual general meeting.

Ron Muzzillo was returned as first vice-president and Wayne Wood as second vice-president. Vaughn Denis will continue as treasurer and Andrina Iliffe will remain as secretary. Brian Wyatt will join returning directors Wally Hild, Jim Bailey, Stan Bobowski, Paul Boivin, Ken Lakusta, Margaret Soles, Ray Lamothe, Terry Swan, Les Wyles and Hilda Bailey.

The Penticton Historic Automobile Society organizes the Peach City Beach Cruise in Penticton each June. The 2009 Beach Cruise attracted more than 650 custom cars, hot rods and vintage vehicles to Lakeshore Drive.

A primary goal of the society is to establish an automobile museum in Penticton along with a vehicle restoration and training component. The society also makes an annual donation to the B.C. Children’s Hospital.

The society recently partnered with the Electric Garage.com to present a collector car auction in conjunction with the annual Peach City Beach Cruise.
