A howling good Halloween in the park
Knights in shining armour prepare to defend the lady of the castle from a shadowy figure lurching towards them in the darkness.
Beasley Park was transformed into a fantasyland inhabited by princesses, zombies, bunny rabbits and superheroes as Lake Country residents, young and old, gathered to take part in the annual Halloween celebrations. Hosted by the District and supported by the Lake Country Lions and other volunteers, the event drew hundreds to the park for an evening of free hot dogs and hot chocolate, fireworks and of course an enormous bonfire rising into the night sky.
Down at the other end of Wood Lake the Oyama Community Club was putting on some games of its own for families who don’t celebrate Halloween.
Between the activities going on at either end of Wood Lake, families throughout the community were able to spend a great night together with friends
