To the Editor:
I got my ICBC renewal form in the mail today.
The first words on it were, Congratulations! Because of your safe driving (40 years, no accidents) you are getting a big discount.
Great, I’m thinking, they are finally giving good drivers a break.
I scanned my way down the page, and to my surprise my premium was over $1,800, $240 more than I have ever paid before.
There’s no discount if it is more.
Talk about one hand patting you on the back while the other is stealing your wallet.
