Liberals not serious about climate policies
To the Editor:
This was sent to M. Ignatieff with copies to the Prime Minister, Bob Rae and Alex Atamanenko.
Dear Mr. Ignatieff
Why would you back prime Minister Harper in sending Bill C-311, the Climate Change Accountability Act, back to the committee? This has already been delayed by Harper long enough. If Harper wants to have a mandate to speak at the Climate Conference, which is coming up in December, he will need to make a commitment to greenhouse gas reductions and show the world that Canada is serious and concerned.
Now we’ll be lucky if this bill makes it through the house before the conference and once again Canada will be an embarrassment.
It’s obvious to me that you are no more serious about climate change than our Prime Minister.

A short p.s. to my last letter.
I immediately got a response from Michael Ignatieff’s office giving me the same speil about getting back to me. Don’t they have a policy on that issue? Whenever I send one of these to Jack Layton I get their whole policy on the issue.
