Cougars edge Rockets

Brock Hirsche scored the winning goal on a power play at 14:46 of the third period to lead the Prince George Cougars to a 3-2 win Friday over the visiting Kelowna Rockets.

Geordie Wudrick and Collin Bowman scored for the Rockets (11-13-1-0) who have lost five straight games.

Kelowna out shot Prince George 40-25.

The teams meet again Saturday night at the CN Centre.
