Huskies tackle Dragons

The Westside Huskies will have revenge on their minds as they take on the Kelowna Dragons in minor football action.

The Dragons beat the Huskies 8-0 earlier in the season, one of just two losses for the Huskies who last weekend might have played its best game of the season in a 56-0 thrashing of the Westsyde (Kamloops) Wildcats.The win improved the Huskies record to 7-2.

This weekend is the final game of the season for both clubs, which have already qualified for the playoffs.

Last Sunday the Huskies offense put up 313 yards offense while holding the Wildcats offense to minus 67 yards. Running back Spencer Humes had four carries for 121 yards and four touchdowns. Hayden Keller moved to running back and made two TDs.

The Huskies’ Keagan Hughes led the defense with six solo tackles and three sacks.
