The OKM Huskies and Clarence Fulton Maroons will clash on Saturday afternoon in Vernon to decide top high school football’s Okanagan AA Conference.

The Huskies (3-0) lead the Maroons (2-1) by two points as the teams close out the regular season in a 1 p.m. kick off.

Regardless of the outcome, the Huskies will host a first-round playoff game the weekend of Nov. 6-7 on the turf at CNC.

OKM—the defending Okanagan champion—kept its unbeaten record in tact with a 77-0 win over Cranbrook’s Mt. Baker on Friday night,

Mt. Baker is a new addition to the conference this season and features a relatively young and inexperienced roster.

“They’re just starting out, they’re a new program and they really enjoyed coming down here and playing,” said Huskies coach Jason Farnsworth. “No matter what the score was, their kids kept playing throughout.

“For us, we have a few guys injured and sick, so it was a chance give some of our junior varsity guys some playing time.”The Huskies will have to finish the season without veteran Jarvis Marson, who suffered a broken thumb Oct. 23 against Valleyview. Marson played at slotback and safety, and returned kicks for OKM this season.
