Updated: July 16, 2009 6:57 PM
Inside Pitch Baseball Academy will host pitching and hitting development schools July 21 to 23 at Edith Gay Park.
The pitching school is designed for pitchers of all ages who will receive instruction from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily.
Head instructor Morgan Reiter will work closely with each pitcher to evaluate his mechanics, mental approach and functional fitness strength.
Reiter is a former NCAA DIV 1 pitcher, Canadian national team member, and professional pitcher. He is the only National Pitching Association (NPA) certified instructor in Canada.
A three-day hitting development camp is offered each afternoon where players of all ages can learn to hit for average and power.
Players can choose to attend all three days for $80 or simply pick a single hitting session for a cost of $40. Sessions will be taught by professional Inside Pitch Academy instructors. The student to teacher ratio will be very low, a maximum 10 students per group.
