Waste pick up choice of CORD and city, not service provider
To the editor:
In response to the yard waste pick up and the supervisors at Waste Management. (Waste Pick-up Unsatisfactory, Oct. 25 Capital News.)
I would like to inform Capital News that Waste Management is no longer the service provider for residental pick up. It is not the service provider’s choice on the yard waste pick up this year.
The current provider is contracted by the Regional District of the Central Okanagan and the City of Kelowna.
It is the tax payers who pay for this service and the past free-for-all pick up was not an easy service to provide.
The past program was a huge success and hopefully the residents’ of Kelowna voice will be heard for a new program in 2010.
D. Pritchard,
