Two safe after canoe capsizes in Okanagan Lake

Two people are safe after they capsized their canoe in Okanagan Lake Friday afternoon off Kelowna.

The canoe sank off Strathcona Park but they managed to make it to land. Rescue crews took them to Kelowna General Hospital to be checked out for hypothermia.

Soon after a regional rescue boat retrieved the red canoe from the lake.
