The Central Okanagan Hospice Association has launched a new website at www.hospicecoha.org.
“Because we are a volunteer organization, delivering palliative care to over 2,500 terminally ill patients and their families each year with the support of over 250 volunteers, we wanted to make it easier for people to find out about our volunteer opportunities,” said Bob Switzer, executive director of the hospice association.
“Our new website allows the public to explore all the different ways they can serve our community through hospice programs, including assisting in our program support office, palliative care, bereavement support, fundraising events and even serving on our volunteer board of directors.”
The new site allows potential volunteers to record their skills and interests and surf all of the various volunteer positions to see where they would best be able to serve.”
