The Kelowna Women’s Resource Centre will hold a charitable fundraiser called “Vision of Hope”on Nov. 5.

The women’s resource centre is badly in need of a new facility. The society’s current location on St. Paul Street is small and limits the number and types of services the society an offer.

We have a vision of one day occupying a much larger facility that would have showers, laundry, a more comfortable and “homey” drop-in facility, a kitchen, and a low-cost childcare facility.

The Thursday, Nov. 5, event will begin the process of fundraising for this vision.

Vision of Hope will take place at Evangel Church on Gordon Drive from 6 to 9 p.m. A three-course meal (catering generously provided by the Bike Shop Cafe and Catering Company) will be served, followed by a silent auction.

Tickets are only $25 per person, or $150 for a table of eight (limited number of tables are available).

Tickets are available at the Women’s Resource Centre, 1492 St. Paul St., or the Bike Shop Cafe on Ellis Street.

Those interested in purchasing tickets can drop in at either of these locations or can phone the Women’s Resource Centre at 250-762-2355.
