Updated: July 29, 2009 4:59 PM
Milling of Highway 97 southbound lanes between Gordon Drive and Highway 33 started Tuesday night, July 28.
Crews will begin re-surfacing these lanes on Aug. 4, between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. and will continue until the end of August.
During the overnight construction motorists can expect some delays.
Through-traffic will be maintained but cross traffic will be detoured as required. Signs will alert motorists to any closures. Traffic control personnel will be in place at intersections.
The City of Kelowna thanks motorists and residents for their patience and co-operation in observing all traffic controls.
The Highway 97 transportation improvement project is being lead by the Ministry of Transportation in partnership with the City of Kelowna.
