Linda Jones-Evans, an experienced hike leader with the city recreation and culture department at the Parkinson Recreation Centre, will lead two upcoming hikes.

It’s a great opportunity to see some of the area’s most spectacular views, explore nature, and enjoy the fresh air and exercise.

Participants should be prepared to drive their vehicles with the group to the trailhead.

The hikes are:

Black Canyon Trail, Oct. 25, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., easy to moderate

Snowshoe Stomp, Dec. 6, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., you will hike over three hours, which includes a lunch break and rest stop, wear comfortable winter boots or hiking boots with gaiters, easy hike for the physically fit.

To register for either of these hikes, call 250-469-8800 or sign up at Parkinson Recreation Centre.
