CULOS - JOHN passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008 at the age of 75. Survived by his loving family, two daughters, Jody (Ross) Pickard of Vancouver, Teri (Chad) Pilon of Kelowna, two sons, David Culos of Kelowna, Chris (Michelle) Culos of Richmond, eight grandchildren, Tyler, Jake, Alexandra, Samantha, Richelle, Steven, Kyle and Benjamin, brother Nelson Culos of Kelowna, three sisters, Rina Culos of Kelowna, Mary Allen of Kelowna, Anita (Joe) Fischer of Langdon, SK, several nieces and nephews, special friends Jack and Barb Burton of Kelowna and John’s dog Tarra. Sadly predeceased by his wife Lorraine on November 30, 2006. John was an avid gardener and painter and and Kelowna Rockets fan. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road. REDMOND: Luba Lu passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 at Cottonwoods Douglas Fir. Lu was predeceased by her parents Ostap and Martha Ochremchuk, sister Helen Orchremchuk, and brother Leonard Ochremchuk. She is survived by her loving husband Bill, daughter Leah (Aaron), son Ray, grandsons; Cyrus and Seth, brothers; John, Steve, Walter, and her pets; Clancy and Savanna. Lu was known for her sharp wit, and lively sense of humor. Lu was an intelligent woman and an accomplished business person. She loved her family, especially her role as a Grandmother to her grandsons. Lu was an avid golfer and a member of Gallaghers Canyon Golf Club. She loved bridge, flowers, sunsets, movies, concerts, and reading. Lu and Bill enjoyed their yearly travels to Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and St. George, Utah. Lu had a heart for the unfortunate and was a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and was recently honored as a Major Donor to the Rotary Paul Harris Foundation. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, August 12th, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Salvation Army Community Church, 1480 Sutherland Avenue with Les Burrows officiating. SINTIHAKIS - ELENI SOPHIA. December 26, 1977 – August 1, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the accidental death of Eleni, who died in Kelowna on August 1, 2008. She was the flower in our lives and will be dearly missed by so many friends and family members. Eleni had a love for travelling and being with her friends. She had a great compassion for her pets and in her spare time she loved writing and mixing her own music. Eleni is survived by her loving parents, Maryanne and Reg; Brother, Yeorgios (Amber); Sisters, Eftihia and Lia; Niece, Sophia and Nephew Samuel; Aunts Sandra (Barry), Debbie, and Dianne (John); Uncle, Ken (Robert); Aunts Irene, Mina, Barbara, Eftihia and Voula. Eleni is also predeceased by her paternal father, Demetre. A memorial service will be held on Saturday August 16, 2008 at 11:00am from the chapel of Everden Rust Funeral Home, 1910 Windsor Road, Kelowna.
