BEAULAC - ED 1925-2008. Ed passed away peacfully at the Kelowna General Hospital on July 22, 2008 at the age of 82. He was born Oct. 1, 1925. He moved to Mclennan Alberta with his parents in 1929 (actually Kathleen, Alberta) where his father took a homestead. He spent a stint in the army 1944-45. He was only 19 years old. When he came out of the army he took a homestead . He worked hard on this land. In the winter he was a sawyer at Tardif sawmill and later Buchannon sawmills. All his hard work paid off for Ed as he turned his homestead into a profitable farm and ranch, having a herd of 200 head of cattle. In 1980 his health took a turn for the worst so he had to sell the farm. We retired to Kelowna. He missed all his friends in Mclennan and the farm. It was hard for him to adjust, but we joined square dancing and he enjoyed that. We met and have many good friends. Ed was predeceased by his baby son Kenneth, his parents, three brothers & two sisters. Also three nephews. Ed is survived by his loving wife Kathleen of 56 years, three sons Joe, Willy & Mike, five dauhters Lynda, Judy, Delores, Catherine & Louise. Daughter-in-laws Debby and Shannon and sons-in-law Kelly, Paul, Keith & Gordon, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous neices & nephews. Ed was a wondrful husband, great father, loving grandfather, and great grandad. There will be no service by Ed’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation or Kelowna Hospice. Internment to follow at a later date in Mclennan, Alberta. A special thanks to Dr. Appleby, Dr. Welsh, Dr. Kates and Dr. Desins for the special care they have given Ed these past four years of his life. Also the Dialysis unit and all the nurses that took care of him. His Angels, as he called them. Thank you. To all of our friends, family & neighbours for the cards, the flowers, the prayers and acts of kindness. We, the family appreciate it. Bless you all. The Beaulac Family
