David Bond, president of the Kelowna Art Gallery, announced Wednesday that executive director Dona Moore has decided to retire in April, 2010.

Moore has been executive director of the gallery since 2000, and before that as head of education.

“Dona has done an outstanding job of raising the Gallery’s profile within the national, regional and provincial arts communities,” Bond said in a press release, “as well as with the Gallery’s federal, provincial and municipal grant funders. Additionally, in October under Dona’s leadership, the Galley received the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Community Impact Business Excellence Award.”
