On Tuesday, July 27, between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m., an RCMP member working on the police boat observed a boat speeding as they were searching for a missing boater in the Bertram Creek area.
The police officer activated the emergency equipment and followed the speeding boat but was unable to catch up, and believes that the operator was evading him.
