Bear invades Kitimat eatery

A hungry bear gave a Subway restaurant worker the scare of her life when the animal wandered into the Kitimat eatery shortly after it opened for business at 6:00 a.m.
Rebecca Branton heard the door buzzer as she worked in the back.
It wasn't for a few more moments that she actually saw the black bear in the restaurant.
The bear had opened up the doors, the set leading to the parking lot, just as any human would.
He stood up at the end of the deli bar, seemingly waiting to be served before wandering around, leaving a calling card and exiting.
Rebecca had at this point locked herself in the bathroom for safety and called her parents and RCMP on her cellphone, both of whom arrived very shortly afterwards.
The bear was scared away by the police.
Conservation officers later located and destroyed the bear.
