RCMP need the public's help

The Merritt RCMP are hoping you can help them identify a suspect.

The case dates back to Aug. 22 when an unidentified person entered Urban Cabin by breaking the front window of the main door. Once inside the suspect stole the owner's wallet, which was later recovered by a city employee. Although the wallet was returned to its owner, her credit and debit cards were both stolen.

At approximately midnight it was discovered that the debit card was used at the Royal Bank ATM in Merritt.

The RCMP have identified a man on a video surveillance camera at the RBC who they believe is their suspect in this robbery. Now they are hoping that the public can help them locate the man in the video.

If you recognize this man you are asked to contact the Merritt RCMP at (250) 378-4262 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
