Two uninhabited houses near 170 Street and 79A Avenue were burned early Saturday.

Fire crews were called to the area about 3:00 a.m.

The exact cause of the blaze that damaged the partially-built homes has not been determined, but Surrey Fire Service Battalion Chief Richard McPhee called it suspicious.

"We'll have an investigation on scene sometime after the weekend," McPhee told CTV News.

No injuries were reported.
