Abbotsford MP Ed Fast is
backing legislation put forward by his party to tackle child
pornography on the Internet.
The Conservative MP said a new law that requires Internet service providers to assist law enforcement agencies will help “protect the most vulnerable people in our society.”
Bill C-58 will force Internet
service providers to report any occasion where they have
reasonable grounds to believe their Internet service is being used, or has been used, to
commit a child pornography
offence. The bill would also
require suppliers of Internet
services to report tips they
receive from the public.
