An alleged Red Scorpions gang member whose home was raided in Aldergrove on Nov. 12 is now in police custody.
Jason William Brown, 35, was arrested without incident at about 10 p.m. Saturday by the Integrated Gang Task Force (IGTF). He was at a private residence in Langley, but Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said the circumstances of the arrest – and how Brown's whereabouts were known – are not being revealed by IGTF.
Also now in custody is Brown's co-accused, Terra Lynn George, 24. The circumstances of her arrest have also not been revealed.
The two were scheduled to appear today in Surrey Provincial Court. Their charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm, and possession of property obtained by crime.
Brown and George were the subjects of warrants issued by the Abbotsford Police drug enforcement unit after a search of their rented home in the 26900 block of 26 A Avenue produced cocaine, meth, a 9 mm handgun, ammunition, Red Scorpions attire, two bulletproof vests and $12,000 cash.
