Allenby Road closed Saturday due to mudslide

Allenby Road remained closed Saturday around noon after a mudslide Friday night dumped debris on the riverside roadway.

The slide also uprooted trees on the bank, and branches damaged power lines.

Lines were pulled down along Allenby on Friday night about 8 p.m., knocking out power in areas flanking the river area.

Power was restored by Saturday morning.

Traffic was still being detoured by highway crews from Allenby onto Boys Road early Saturday afternoon.
