After a relatively calm night on Wednesday, Abbotsford was bracing for another bout of stormy weather Thursday night.
Environment Canada issued a three-headed monster of warnings Thursday afternoon and into the night for wind, heavy rainfall and wind chill .
The wind was expected to gust between 50 and 70 kilometres an hour late in the afternoon. Heavy rain with accumulations of 20 to 30 millimetres were forecast for Thursday night with the wind staying in the 50 to 70 km/h range before becoming light overnight.
Rain of 15 to 25 mm was predicted for Friday with the wind picking up late in the day again.
Saturday is forecast to be cloudy with a 70 per cent chance of showers with the rain to continue well into next week.
BC Hydro reported just two power outages on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. The first in the 39900 block of Parallel Road and 39800 block of No. 3 Road began at 8:30 Wednesday evening and took until 12:45 a.m. to fix. The second Thursday morning, occurred on Lonsdale Court, between 8:17 and 9:42.
