TERRACE FIREFIGHTERS used the jaws of life to rescue a pregnant driver and a three-year-old boy after their vehicle ended up in the ditch on Remembrance Day.

She lost control of the SUV, which flipped into the ditch along Queensway between Kenworth and Kulspai and landed on its roof around 10:45 a.m. Nov. 11, said Terrace fire chief Peter Weeber today.

Both were taken to Mills Memorial Hospital, he added.
