Canadian held in U.S. over child-porn allegations

A Vancouver man wanted in Washington, D.C., in connection with distribution of child pornography was arrested Wednesday as he attempted to enter the U.S. at the Pacific Highway border.

According to Customs and Border Protection officials, a name check alerted guards the 56-year-old was the subject of a National Criminal Information Centre warrant.

The man was turned over to the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office.

Ronald Fleet is to appear in federal court. He is also accused of attempted enticement of a minor.
