A 58-year-old man suffered what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a five-tonne truck around 9:30 a.m. Monday at Minoru Boulevard and Elmbridge Way.

Richmond RCMP Cpl. Jennifer Pound said investigators are looking for witnesses to the collision in hopes of determining exactly what happened.

The victim sustained a broken hip, a fractured shoulder, internal bleeding and facial fractures in the collision near the Richmond provincial courthouse.

He was conscious while being taken to hospital, Pound said.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call Richmond RCMP Const. James Gregory at 604-278-1212.
