One dead in collision west of Terrace

A SINGLE vehicle collision west of Terrace has claimed the life of one person.

A second motorist was taken to Mills Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, say police.

The crash happened in the early morning hours of Oct. 29, about 13 kilometers west of the city on Hwy 16.

Police are not releasing names of those involved in the collision, pending notification of family members.

Hwy 16 is open to single lane traffic in both directions.

Winter driving conditions have arrived on local roads and police are urging drivers to ensure vehicles are equipped with winter tires in good condition, say police.

Follow safe winter driving habits, which include driving according to road conditions, slowing down and maintaining distance between your vehicle and those ahead of you.
