Cougar spotted near Puntledge River
This cougar was spotted by former Comox Valley Record photographer Gerry Fairbrother on Monday night. Out for a walk in the woods near his Courtenay home, he took this shot from the city side of the Puntledge River not far from Puntledge Park. The cougar was on the other side of the river at the top of about an 80-foot bank.

A cougar was seen Monday night on the other side of the Puntledge River from a spot on the Courtenay side of the river not far from Puntledge Park.
