On Wednesday morning Mayor Deb Kozak (below, second from left) got a tour of the new Kootenay Co-op store with (from left) Co-op outreach coordinator Julia Cedar, general manager Allan Broom, and board president Abra Brynne.

“It’s an extremely exciting day,“ Brynne said. “We have been dreaming of this for a long time. We started planning for this in 2006, so it has been a ten year journey, trying to find a place big enough for what we needed."
