The Strathcona Regional District (SRD) is hosting a Customer Appreciation Week at Strathcona Gardens and the whole community is invited.

The event kicks off this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. with games, prizes and free refreshments for everyone who stops by, and will continue through to Saturday, Nov. 19.

The recreation facility sees hundreds of thousands of visitors pass through its doors each year.

Susan Bullock, manager of programs at Strathcona Gardens, is pleased with the development of this initiative.

“We have a dedicated team of people at Strathcona Gardens who value the amazing support we get from the community,” says Bullock. “We want to do something extra to say thank you to all the people we see and work with on a regular basis.”

Strathcona Gardens is a 140,000 square foot recreation complex with two NHL-sized ice surfaces, a leisure ice area, two swimming pools and hot tub, a weight room and fitness studio, multiple meeting rooms, offices and user group rental spaces.

The facility has been a recreational hub for residents of Electoral Area D and the City of Campbell River since it first opened its doors in 1971.

Customer Appreciation Week is being made possible by the generous support of Quality Foods.
