UPDATE: Two officers with the Abbotsford Police Department's patrol division located Spencer Thompson in downtown Abbotsford on Friday morning.

The Abbotsford Police Department is asking for the public's help in trying to locate a man reported missing on Monday.

Police were contacted on that day by a person who said that 28-year-old Spencer Stafford Thompson was missing from his current residence in central Abbotsford.

According to the complainant, Thompson was last seen that afternoon wearing a baseball cap, a T-shirt and shorts.

Thompson is 5' 10", 150 pounds with blue eyes and shaved bald head.

Const. Ian MacDonald said Thompson is not originally from Abbotsford and has family and friends in other parts of the Lower Mainland. He requires regular medication and is overdue for it as a result of his absence.

"For this reason, he should not be approached if observed," MacDonald said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the APD at 604-859-5225 or text 222973 (abbypd).
