The Oceanside RCMP is pleased to confirm that the 70 year old Qualicum Beach male reported missing has been located, and he is safe and sound. Thanks to public for their assistance.

Arrowsmith Search and Rescue and Oceanside RCMP and police dog services had been looking for 70-year-old Qualicum Beach man Iain Hollier.

His wife reported that Hollier — who has advanced level dementia — missing the morning of July 10 after he failed to return from his nightly walk the night before.

Hollier left his home in the 600 Block of Alder Street, and may be very disorientated, the RCMP reported.
