Vernon has reached the finals at the all England Club.

Vasek Pospisil of Vernon, and his partner Jack Sock, of the U.S., advanced to the men’s doubles final at Wimbledon with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3, 6-4 win over fifth-seeded team of Leander Paes of India and Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic.

Canada is taking Wimbledon by storm with Eugenie Bouchard advancing to the finals Thursday and Milos Raonic battled Roger Federer in the men’s semifinal Friday.

Pospisil, 24, joins Daniel Nestor and Grant Connell as the only two male Canadians to reach the finals at Wimbledon. Nestor captured back to back titles in 2008 and 2009.

Pospisil and Sock will take on defending champion Bob and Mike Bryan in Saturday’s final.
