Penticton woman killed in motor vehicle incident

The driver who was killed in a collision with a semi-trailer on Highway 97 near Peachland has been identified by the B.C. Coroners Service as Penticton resident Barbara Lynn Garrett.

The 69-year-old woman was the sole occupant of a car which collided with a semi-trailer about 300 metres south of Trepanier Bench Road in Peachland shortly after noon on June 26. Garrett was deceased at the scene of the collision.

The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate the death.
