Several people were assaulted this past weekend in four separate incidents, which police believe are related.

"There are many similarities between these crimes which occurred on Friday and Sunday mornings," said Mission RCMP Sgt. Shaun Wright.

The first two incidents happened Friday morning, just two hours apart.

At around 2 a.m., a pedestrian near Cedar Street and 10 Avenue was punched and knocked to the ground by one of two suspects that approached him and demanded his cell phone and wallet.

One suspect was described as 5'11" with a slim build, and wearing a white hoody. The other suspect was wearing a camouflage hoodie. Both were wearing balaclavas and in a late 90s model four-door Chevrolet Cavalier.

Two hours later, police responded to a break and enter call in the Mountainview Road. Mounties say two male suspects wearing balaclavas broke into the detached garage where there was a Health Canada licensed medicinal marijuana grow operation.

"A quantity of marijuana was stolen during the break and enter," said Wright.

On Sunday morning, around 2 a.m., police were called to a home invasion in progress on Wren Street. The residence also housed a licensed medical marijuana grow operation.

According to police, three suspects forced their way into the home and were confronted by two residents. Both residents were bear sprayed and struck with a club.

All suspects were described as while males between 20 to 30 years old and wearing hoodies. One suspect may have had a full facial tattoo.

About an hour later, at 3 a.m. police were called to an attempted robbery near Best Avenue and Cade Barr Street. Police say four people were walking along the street when a black Honda Civic with three occupants drove by and stopped. One of the passengers exited the car and punched the victim. The suspect attempted to take the ring off the victim's finger, but was unsuccessful. The suspect then returned to the Civic, and headed eastbound on Best. All three occupants in the vehicle were wearing balaclavas.

The suspect who exited the vehicle and attempted to steal a ring was described as a white male, about 5'9" with brown eyes and a slim build.

Police have not yet made any arrests in connection to these incidents. Investigators are asking anyone with information about these events to call police at 604-826-7161 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
