UPDATE: Inmate returns to prison

A Mission Minimum Institution inmate went missing from the Dewdney Trunk Road facility June 20 and returned of his own volition later that day.

Inmate Robbie Morris was first noticed missing just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, and walked back into the institution around 10 p.m., according to Gord Mattson, assistant warden.

Correctional Service Canada is investigating the incident.
