Nelson RCMP say the body of a 21-year-old North Shore man has been found in a wooded area near the north end of the orange bridge.

Nelson Search and Rescue found Michael Mucha's body at about 10 a.m. today.

The exact cause of death is not being released, but police confirm foul play is not suspected. His family has been notified.

Mucha went missing sometime early yesterday from his home in the 800 block of Highway 3A on the North Shore.

He left all his personal belongings at home and appears to have walked off.

Search and rescue conducted a grid search behind his home up the mountainside and to the power lines late into the evening with no success.
