A flood of tips helped Ridge Meadows RCMP quickly find the owner of a pickup truck following a suspicious incident in Maple Ridge on Sunday.

Police released information about the pickup truck on Monday, saying a man associated with the truck was seen arguing with a young woman June 8 near a West Coast Express station on River Road.

RCMP arrived in the area moments after receiving the call about the fight, which witnesses believe may have become physical, but were unable to locate the truck.

“After putting out our news release this past Monday June 9th, investigators have found the truck.  Police are continuing with their follow up, but there is no need for further tips," said Cpl. Alanna Dunlop.

"This case fully illustrates how working with our media partners can assist police in solving cases. Our investigators want to say “Thank-you” to all who came forward with the tips.”
