Cultural master plan moves ahead

Development of a cultural strategy for Greater Vernon is moving ahead.

Consultants have been hired to lead the creation of a culture master plan.

“There will be activity taking place during the summer,” said Tannis Nelson, community development co-ordinator with the Regional District of North Okanagan.

The process will include arts and cultural organizations as well as residents.

“We will canvas the public the best we can,” said Nelson.

Chairperson Juliette Cunningham hopes to see broad-based community involvement.

“Groups out there are anxious like the museum and the art gallery and everyone is looking forward to the process,” she said.
