(VIDEO) RCMP arrest Justin Bourque in Moncton; 3 officers killed in shooting named

New Brunswick RCMP confirmed their arrest of Justin Bourque, which occurred around 12:10 a.m. Atlantic time on Friday morning, bringing to an end a nearly 30-hour manhunt in the Maritime city.

Wednesday's shootings in Moncton claimed three RCMP members' lives, and injured two others.

"This is the outcome that we wanted," said RCMP Supt. Marlene Snowman, on Friday. "We wanted to have the arrest done as quick as possible, without any further injury or death to anyone.

"We're extremely pleased and I'm extremely proud of all the officers and the public that assisted us in getting this resolution."

The RCMP also officially released the names of their three Mounties killed on Wednesday: Const. David Ross, 32, Const. Fabrice Georges Gevaudan, 45, and Const. Douglas James Larche, 40.
