Health Care Auxiliary donates $552,790 to EKRH

A cheque for $552,790 was presented to Christine Shumka, Director of Health Services, Acute for the EKRH,  by members of the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary, Thrift Store Volunteers. The money will be used to purchase much needed equipment for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital. Some of the equipment being purchased this year include a Multi CR Reader for the Diagnostic Imaging Department for $84,700.... Two 5 MM 30 degree scopes for the O.R. for $81,600. and Console upgrades for the D. I. Department for $48,500. The Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary has contributed over $4,3 Million dollars in the past thirteen years purchasing equipment for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.
