Campbell River cyclists ride into work
Bike to Work Week kicked off in Campbell River with cyclists gathering at the kick off breakfast station at Rehabilitation in Motion in Willow Point.
Muffins and fruit provided by Rehabilitation in Motion and coffee from Tim Hortons fueled riders heading into town.
Campbell River's Bike to Work Week celebration has 255 riders registered at biketowork.ca which comprises 66 teams, 72 new riders and 57 per cent of them being female.
One particular pedalled vehicle attracted a lot of attention at the breakfast station. Darcy Wardrop's velomobile is a sit-in, recumbent pedalled vehicle that was made on Quadra Island by Nimbus Kayaks.
