Body recovered from Columbia River, close to Trail airport

The body of a woman has been recovered by Trail RCMP and Search and Rescue volunteers.

On April 18, at about 7 p.m., the body was discovered in the Columbia River near the Trail airport.

The RCMP in conjunction with the BC Coroners Service is awaiting a positive identification.

Foul play is not suspected.

Officials would not confirm if this case has anything to do with the earlier report of a missing woman.
