South Delta Leader nets two Ma Murray nominations

The South Delta Leader has been nominated for a pair of Ma Murray Awards by B.C. Yukon Community Newspaper Association.

The annual awards recognize excellence in all aspects of the newspaper industry, including reporting, editing, photography, production, publishing, advertising, website design, and community contribution.

Reporter Adrian MacNair is nominated for the Neville Shanks Memorial Award for Historical Writing for his story, Sgt. Scratch's final flight.

Editor Robert Mangelsdorf is nominated for the Special Section Award (circulation under 25,000) for Behind the Blue Line, which focussed on the Delta Police Department's 125th anniversary.

Winners of the 2014 Ma Murray Awards will be announced at the BCYCNA gala on Saturday, April 26.
