The West Heights Grocery Store was robbed at gunpoint by two men Saturday night.

According to police, the men entered the store, located in the 7400 block of Wren Street, around 6 p.m. and pointed handguns at the owner. The suspects took several cartons of cigarettes and a small amount of cash before fleeing eastbound in a vehicle that was waiting for them south of the store on Wren Street.

A third suspect was driving the getaway vehicle, say police.

The first two suspects were both wearing dark hoodies with the hoods up and balaclavas. The suspect vehicle is described as a late 1990s grey two-door Honda.

Investigators are looking into links between this incident and similar robberies that recently took place at a local motel and pub.
